Click here for copy of obituary Per Ed Francis, area historian. CHARLES R BIEDERMANN GRAVE SITE 1844 - 1932In Carr Canyon, Huachuca Mountains there is the grave of Carl
Biedermann, who is buried on his homestead. The marker reads Prof. C. R.

Crimmins died Dec. 14, 1902 aged 47 years. CEMETERY [no other name given] R. 20 E, T. 13 S, Section 32. South of Teran Wash, North of
Kelsey Canyon, West of Road. West of Willcox. CHARLESTON Charleston had two or three graves for the Howell family,
relatives of Viola Howell Slaughter. Several years ago somebody dug up the
graves and sold parts of the caskets at a yard sale. The sheriffs office stepped
in when somebody reported the headstones being priced for sale. COURTLAND CEMETERY is located near the ghost town of Courtland, which is on the Pearce Road, some 11 miles south of Pearce and 3 miles north of Gleeson. It is 19 miles south of Tombstone. The cemetery, on land owned by E.Molina, was in use as late as 1918. There are some 85 graves that have not been identifeid and only 4 on which the inscriptions are legible. It was surveyed in the the summer of 1971 by Mrs. John Schwartzmann and Dr. and Mrs. E.B.Jolley. Allen, Tomas G 1918 Transcribed by Vynette Sage from information was supplied to the Arizona Death Records, Volume 3, by Charles H. Field, Jr. of Douglas, Arizona. FAIRBANK CEMETERY There were at least 10 burials here, none of them were legibly marked. The cemetery is near the town of Fairbank which was on the Southern Pacific Railroad. It is on private land and closed to the public because of vandalism. FRIERSON GRAVE SITE This lone grave was discovered by Richard and Donna Austin and family about a mile from the Forest Service gate in Brown Canyon. The latter merges into Ramsey Canyon in the Huachuca Mountains. The grave has a cement wall around a 10 x 10 patch of ground. The wall is only a foot high and a pipe fence is around the cement. The stone is cement and built into the wall with the inscription: W. H. FRIERSON 1855 - 1928. along river. WNW of Willcox. HALL RANCH CEMETERY The information regarding these three graves of those buried
at the old Hall Ranch in Whitetail Canyon near Hilltop was supplied by Richard
Y. Murray. EDWARD JOHN HANDS GRAVE SITE HEREFORD or HERFORT HILL Per the Arizona Death Records book, LDS film # 599848 reports 4 burials here, with no names or dates. The location was never given or verified. There is a cemetery at Hereford, on the hill on the west side of the river, this would be along the De Valle wagon road. HUACHUCA SIDING See Campstone LAMAR FAMILY CEMETERY This cemetery is located north of Douglas off of Route 191.
Take 191 north 2.8 miles, West on the Section Road for a mile, then North and
then West again to the cemetery. In 1975 when surveyed by Jeanne Harmon and Zola
White, there appeared to be 17 burials, with only nine of them identifiable.
Here are 7 of them and we're working on the other two. LEAKE CEMETERY This cemetery is located on land homesteaded by the Leake
family two years after their arrival in Douglas from Texas on 9 Oct 1902. To
reach the cemetery drive north on Kings Highway until you are 1/2 mile past the
big dip. Though not on the highway, the cemetery may be seen to the east. It may
be approached by turning east onto Leake Road and then south to the home of
current owners Karen and David Bond. Inscriptions: MESCAL CEMETERY Williams, Altia Bearl, b. 8 Nov 1874, Newton Co, Arkansas, dau of George Calvin Williams and Martha Bearl Easterly, d. 2 July 1941. Wife of Daniel Conrad Naegle. MIRAMONTE CEMETERY Anderson, Raymond, b. 3 July 1920, Bisbee, Cochise, Arizona,
son of Alfred Oscar Anderson and Arvilla Davis, d. 3 July 1920, age few minutes MORGAN GRAVE SITE (or ASH CANYON) PAXTON GRAVE Four photographs and a letter from Agua Prieta, Sonora, dated
1965 were recently found at the Chamber of Commerce in Douglas. Apparently the
writer had lost the address of the party requesting the photographs of the
tombstone which reads as follows: PINERY CANYON Frendy Tom April 4, 1883 Killed by Indians; surname may be
Frenoy POTEET CEMETERY is just inside the New Mexico border at Rodeo. Partial
description of the graves there is: POTTER GRAVE A single grave along Turkey Creek near Sunizona reads: RATLIFF GRAVES Mr & Mrs William Ratliff are buried in Montezuma Canyon,
now part of the Coronado National Forest. It was called the Zaleski Ranch for
Joe Zaleski that ran the place as a guest ranch called the Border Ranch during
the 1930's. ROUND VALLEY CEMETERY Round Valley is a few miles north of Portal, AZ. RUNDEL GRAVE SITE The grave of Army Capt. Thurlby "Jack" Rundel. SOZA CEMETERY R. 19E, T. 12S, Section 28. South of Soza Wash, North East of
Spear Ranch WHITEWATER SCHOOL 2 1/2 miles SE of Elfrida, on a single headstone at back of
