Cottonwood Cemetery

This cemetery is difficult to locate specifically, as it is in the midst of a large area wholly devoted to ranching. It is best reached by going east for about 35 miles out of Douglas on Fifteenth St., which become Geronimo Trail at the city limits. Burials began here in 1911. The cemetery is still in use and contains about 50 graves. It was surveyed in 1975 by Jeanne Harmon and Zola White. The results of their survey were made available by Charles H. Field Jr.
